is there a way to make your ipod so its a mp3 hard drive?
for instance, what i want to do is, be able to go on my friends computer and take songs i want, then go to my computer and put some songs on it.
i heard there was a way,
right now everytime i try to do that it just updates it to the songs on the computer im getting music from, meaning it deletes songs i already have on my ipod and just updates it with what ever is on that itunes?
just to elaborate i want to
go to computer A, hook up my ipod, get their songs.
go to computer B, hook up my ipod, get my songs and not lose those from computer A.
anyone who understands please help.
thanks

aite cool i knew there was a way, ill have to see if it worked after
should both computer A and B be set to this? or when you do it on one computer it actually saves it onto the ipod so all computers should recognize the setting.
and what about the same songs? will it just not copy those over? orrr?

they're on there twice basically. if you import them via itunes it places them in a hidden directory. if you drag them over via the hard disk mode they're out in the open but not playable via the actual ipod interface.
