The talk of Abercrombie jobs made me curious to see where everyone works. Feel free to post whatever you want about your job, i.e. what you do, how much you make (some people are weird about telling this), or anything else.

I currently work at GNC but I just got hired to work as a bank teller at Amegy Bank. Had to go through two interviews, drug test, 3-hour test, and I am going to orientation this Monday coming up (27th). I'm starting out at $10/hr. which is awesome considering I have always just made $6/hr. tops. I figured it will be a good part-time job and give me some experience for my major which is either finance/marketing/or accounting.

Now you go...

I'm a Sr. Project Manager in the Information Services division of Shaw Industries, Inc. -- the world's largest carpet & flooring manufacturer. We used to be a Fortune 500 company until we were purchased as a private holding of Berkshire Hathaway (Warren Buffet). Will have been there for 11 years on 3/28.

I'm mostly a coder by trade, specializing in engineering -- low level coding, drivers, API's, and also enterprise Java development.

I can't disclose salary, not because I'm too uptight about it, but because my company is. ) We have about 30,000 employees and it wouldn't be a stretch for somebody there to frequent these forums. Suffice to say I do okay. ;)

I've never unloaded before, so I dunno, but I've worked in a couple different areas and the training is usually pretty easy. They tend to just throw you in there and kinda help you along. They call it a "skilled labor" but it doesn't really take much skill. I think all you'll have to do is scan the packages as they come in and learn how to properly stack them. I got hired with the dollar more too. My job is "skilled" cause I used to sort and I also have to correct bad information on packages.

I did my own thing for a while... back in 1994 and then again in late 2001 till mid 2003. There are times when I want to go back and do that, but the older I get, the harder it is to get everything in line to make that jump. For now, the corp world works for me. My boss (who I worked for about 10 years ago) is pretty cool and that helps make the day job that much easier to deal with.

Usually, I'm a Math Teacher at the secondary level (middle or high school). I LOVE to teach though it's very demanding.

However, since Hurricane Katrina, I'm just sitting around searching for free stuff on forums like this! HAHAA D[/quote23c7d38d24]19 and teaching already? That's quick.[/quote23c7d38d24]

I worked at a store called Foxmoor as a "sales associate"... I make sure people don't steal.. I picked clothes off of the floor... but I got discounts.. o .. still it wasn't a very good job. It was my first job..

Im trying to work at Borders now. I need one more job before heading off to college..

well this looks like a great place for my first post D

I work for myself, I have my own eBay business, well it's not offical yet, but getting there. I buy stuff, and resell it, usually for profit. Sometimes I buy large lots of stuff on eBay that isn't in good condition, fix it up, and resell individually. It pays the bills for now.

I'm a network engineer for the Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana (CNFI)

CFNI oversees IT operations for 3 of northwest indiana's biggest hospitals and all of their clinics.

Networking is fun.

Worked for 11 years for the Public Library in Victoria, BC, now full-time student of Comp Sci and Astronomy at UBC in Vancouver. I'll be working for the Astronomy Dept this summer full-time doing software development for SCUBA-2, a submillimetre telescope camera.

Should be cool although it's my first comp sci job and I have no idea what I'm doing. Oh well, learn on the job.
