I'm gonna be making a website for a friend...very basic..its only gonna be a few pages. go daddy has options like 12 months for like 3.95

is this the best place? i'll also be registering a .comurl==http://=http:///url name

Ew, godaddy is absolutly horrific if you think you'll actually use up your space/traffic alloction.
However, if its just a small personal site - its fine.

Are you looking for hosting or domain registration?

No, i would recommend godaddy even. they are have upped the amount of space they give, and it is a really good way to have a small cheap site. you will be able to fit whatever you want on there. i would go with godaddy

Yea i was actually thinking about getting a godady .comurl==http://=http:///url name . My friend bought one real cheap and resold it for a couple hundred bucks. Gotta be hard to find a good domain name now a days.

OK...wtf...i went to register my friends domain name (his url) and i think its a pretty unique name (michellandscaping.com)....like a week ago it was available and now i check it and its not available...its taken!! I think godaddy gives outt search information and sells it... i mean seroiously who would buy that url within a week of me searching it.

Edit forgot to add it was bought by tucows!!!

if this still works, put in promo code 777 and you'll get a year's worth of hosting and domain name for $9.95.
I forget which package is is, but its the one thats like $9.95 a month.
