I have the z740. Awesome camera!! and it takes great pictures!! I was debating between the 2. only real difference is the lense, and some of the customizable features. I figured, i'd be on auto and landscape most of the time, and the lense didnt matter too much for me. Also, if I recall (and correct me if I'm wrong) the 7590 uses a rechargable battery. I preferred to use the AA batteries because it was much easier to just swap out some old batteries for new ones. I was in hawaii receintly and out for a day at a time, and went through 2 sets of batteries (in one day) taking a lot of pics. It just made more sense for me to have AA's. (I would still recommend rechargable AA's to save $$$, but in the case that they run out, and you need some...AA's are easier to find than a rechargable battery!) Hope this helps!!
