Dentist + Aquarium = ?

Why the hell do all dentist offices have aquariums? I've never been to a dentist that they didn't and its so wierd. I guess its to calm people but I'd rather watch TV shrug Someone give me an explination...

Same here. But the dentist I go to have tv's with dish right next tp the chair you sit in. It's actually quite nice.

Mine isn't that high class but I've heard of that. I've never had a cavity so I guess the dentist isn't stressful for me...

If they all had TV's, they would probably show some daytime soap shite.
Fish aren't only relaxing and cool, but they're good for kids also who hate going to the dentist. Instead of sitting there shitting their pants they can focus on fish. Then stick them in chair and rip out their gums.
Makes sense to me.

mine has TV's in the celing above the chair, so when your laying back getting a cavity fixed you can watch TV D, and there isn't an aquarium that I have ever seen, they have some game cubes and those eyesight magazines that make you see 3-D images shrug pretty neat stuff

Hmmm...my dentist has 2 small aquariums...and now I'm thinking about Finding Nemo and the tank in the office
For people who really hate to go, I've seen commercials for dentists who use IV sedation for all their procedures, including just regular teeth cleanings

well if you were watching TV and getting your teeth drilled and then you laughed or something, that would suck. So maybe thats a reason. Plus im sure the dentists dont want to hear cartoons or whatever all day.

My orthodontist's office had plasmas all over the place playing random concerts. The chairs were setup in this large room in a circle all facing towards the middle, which had a guess what.....HUGE fishtank w/ sharks and shit. It's pretty awesome. But I guess you can afford that when you're raping everyone who walks in w/ crooked teeth shrug

Yea my Dentist has a huge 150 gallon aquarium, but no fish.
Some stupid little booger poisoned them all last year.
So the dentist filled it with out of work Oompa Loompas, which sucks cause they are always singing some candy song, making me crave junk food. then I get more cavities, and have to go back and the cycle never ends.

The dentist I went to when I lived with my parents had an aquarium. However, the last two places I went to don't. My current dentist has LCD tvs mounted on their light thing with a remote. ) It was definitely awesome.
I go in Tues for a root canal. I think I'll be watching Dr. Phil. ;)

Mine has a very small chair with Highlights magazines, and sometimes you have to fight for that chair...friggin little kids thing they own everything.
