/Current/ best site to get a Cingular cell phone?

My cell phone bit the big one so I need a new one. I'm on Cingular and don't feel like shelling out $$$ for their store phones. The Razr has caught my eye but if I'm getting that I'd prefer the V3i, with the iTunes. I don't need any of those info phones (Treo, etc) because I have and use a PDA. What site is offering the best cell options/ service right now? I know Freepay just came out with their phones stuff, but I haven't been keeping up on that whole drama... I would like to get this shipped in a reasonable amount of time.

Good call. I have Cingular and I need a new phone because my screen is cracked. I want a RAZR, but I haven't found any sites either that have a good deal.

i am in the same position, with cingular as well. i dont know much about the phone i have had for about 3 years other than its a nokia, and it has been WONDERFUL. it replaced the tiny motorola piece of crap that each member of my family had (okay, so it was only 3 people) and these phones NEVER worked. you would look on the phone bill and for a 2 minute conversation, there would be 20-25 listings, as it lists every call that is made or recieved--because the call would be dropped every few seconds, and you would have to call back. and of course, each call less than a minute was counted as a minute, so a good 20 minutes of time was used up from the plan when you wanted to talk to someone for about 2 minutes.

anyways, my trusty nokia is getting worn, the "3" key works about half the time, and its just getting ready to retire. i want something with a camera, because i tend to find random things that i think are worthy of a photo, but i dont need anything else. i hate text messaging, as well. i just wish i could find an inexpensive nokia with a fairly decent quality camera, and no other toys. i really dont want to replace my current phone because it is absolutely wonderful, but its starting to break down and i am afraid i just about have no choice... meh!
my dad still pays the phone bill, and he may decide to switch to verizon if it can be an instant changeover and if we can keep the same numbers. i do not care either way... i just want to end up with another solid, reliable phone.

DO NOT GET A RAZR FROM CINGULAR. IVE HAD 8 REPLACEMENTS SO FAR. EVEN THE BRAND NEW ONES IN BOX AND EVERYTHING THEY SEND ME ARE MESSED UP.

It's beyond ridiculous. Their replacement service is also idiotic. They ask me everytime how many months ago did I buy my original phone ok good you still qualify for the 1 year warranty replacement. They don't offer anything to me. Like picking a new one up at a store, a different model or anything. Because their seed inventory they keep sending me is junk. Their refurbished models they send me have been junk. Then the last 2 theyve sent me are new seed inventory (not refurbished) and theyve also had the same problem. Worst thing Ive experienced on every replacement is dropped calls, hissing sound when talking to someone that I and the other caller hears. Loud high pitched glass breaking sound here and there that is not nice on the ears.

Bought my daughter a black RAZR from Cingular for Christmas. She loves it and has no trouble with it.

Well my first one was fine for like 6 months. Everyone I received after that first one has had to be sent back within 1-3 weeks.

I'll just tell everyone right now. The phone itself is a bad phone. Motorola has been working on a bunch of different razrish phones because the razr has been a huge problem for them. I wouldnt be surprised to see the razr permanently retired in the next year.

maybe it's just me, but I was looking at cingular's phones on their website yesterday.......absolutely blew me away. not one of them caught my eye at all, except that SLVR phone, but after reading reviews, I've come to the conclusion that it's not all it's hyped up to be.

Cingular needs to update their phones, there are a few new Sony Ericssons out now that look amazing....dunno maybe it's just me oops

also, unless you're dying to have a RAZR, I wouldn't buy one because they're actually quiet outdated. Motorola has been getting away with not updated the RAZR simply because it's selling-out because of it's form factor roll
