ok, i went to start up my iPod today, and the little apple icon that appears.. well it doesnt go away, it lights up, then the hard drive clicks, then it goes away, etc continuisly any help wuold be greatly appreciated...

Well mine did the same and i got so fed up that i threw it down the stairs. Turns out it worked great ever since )

LMAO I woudn't recommend doing that again.
OP What model/gen is it? Also search on ilounge.com and see if you can find out alittle more about whats going on.

i've done the reset thing many times, it doesnt work...

oh mine was black and white 4th gen. The thing was just freezing and was like dead. Now it works perfectly so I am happy. I got it back in like 2004 when gratis first opened freeipods.com. I can't wait for better video ipods to come out.

ok, i went on apples site and read through all there crap, and now i have it in disk mode on the ipod (never even heard of that) and its restoring it to factory, @ least its doing sometihgn
