g4 ibook problems

im thinking of buying a g4 ibook off ebay but it doesnt boot it just goes to a blue screen do any of you know how to fix this

It is a logic board problem, you would probably have to send it to apple, maybe call them and ask how much it costs to get the logic board replaced (call apple I mean) or some other computer repair place...

My logic board broke for the third time last month and it was 3 yrs and 1 month old. Apple said they would charge $200 to fix it but I bitched and got it done free of charge.

how do you reformat an apple?

To reformat you need to boot with the installer cd/dvd. At the main installer window, choose tools I think from the finder menu bar and open up disc utility. This app has the ability to format, repartition, etc.
