It's a wonderful thing. And I guess apple decided to wait for E3 to pass before this annoucement. But the prices are really sweet.

core duo across the line is nice and unexpected. the screen res can be better but I'll take it. it definitely shames the g4 ibook it replaces.
my wife bought a g4 ibook a few months ago. I would have told her to wait if she bothered to ask me...

They just updated the MacBook Pro as well and you can upgrade if you just recently bought one recently. The cutoff date is May 2nd.

Too bad the black one is only available in the upgrade version. I'm going to wait a month or so to see what people who get the first batch say.
I would either return it to apple for store credit or sell it on ebay and get the macbook!!

I like that teh black isn't glossy, I think it makes it look sweet... I'll prolly get a MBP though, altho I do like the 13" widescreen... we'll see how shit plays out...

not really, the new macbook is $100 more.. you can probably still get at least $800 off your ibook, which is originally what they were going for on ebay.
