I'm considering buying FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 Soccer for the xbox 360. I've only played soccer games sporadically. For the most part I've liked them but honestly I've only had like 20 minutes playing at my friend's house and it was one of the older versions.

I've really gotten into soccer recently because of the world cup and my cousin and friends rave about the game. Let me know what you think about the game and please give me some good advice and if you know any cheaper deals then eBay then please let me know.

its very cheap at walmart (for a 360 game) either 29 or 39 dollars, so it may be worth it for the money value.

Are you sure that's not FIFA World Cup Road to the World Cup. There's actually a difference.

I'm picking it up tomorrow. I have a GC for BestBuy so we'll see how it goes.

Its good, although if you want a more realistic game go with Winning Eleven 9. Both are very good though.

Winning Eleven isn't available for 360 though, right?

I've been trying to rent FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 Soccer, but nobody in my area stocks it. (I'm 99% certain that the Hollywood Video across the street stocks nothing but display boxes.)

The reviews are mostly positive, but I think a few features from last year's game are missing and also focuses very heavily on the tournament, which the reviewers thought limited its lifespan.

I hear that. I've been trying to rent NBA Live '06 for a while now. I downloaded the demo, and I love it. Unfortunately neither Blockbuster nor Family Video seem to actually own a copy of the game, just the display cases (like you said).

Yea RocLaFamilia has got the right version of the game

Road to the World Cup game was really bad (supposedly)

To everyone that is going to get it please let me know what you think about the game. Greatly appreciated

However, because of this dont expect stunning graphics. Still, the gameplay more than makes up for it.

Yeah I was thinking Road to the Word Cup. That game is the cheap one.

they're both just "ok" no club teams whatsoever

if you "have" to have a soccer game for the 360 go with the newer one

but you are better off waiting until FIFA 07

I just got the game today. Although, its kinda hard to play without a 360....but! soon enough I will find out.

I played it for a while today, it's ok but in the end it's kind of limited since you can only play with national teams. I'd say it's nowhere worth $60. Sure, the graphics are better but everyone looks like they have the same high-res face. Henry is the only player that really looked like himself in the French team. Zidane was bald but that was about it.

Plus once the World Cup is over, you'll be bored playing with just national teams and World Cup format.

The XBOX version of FIFA 06 is pretty good with its career mode, national/club teams and it doesn't look bad since it can be played in 720p. It's too bad they didn't release it for the 360. The 360 version, Fifa06 Road to the World Cup pretty much sucks since its also just national teams and you can't even play the world cup. Who knows what they were thinking.

If you want a soccer game, get Winning Eleven 9 for the XBOX, it's backwards compatible and won't look too bad once the 360 smoothes the graphics a bit. You'll have fun with it for a loooong time with its various play modes.

does the 360 version have all national teams or just the teams that qualified for the world cup this year?

hehehhehe

It has teams that didn't qualify for the World Cup too.
