lol it's MYSPACE.. no fucking way it will be shutdown. It is definately temporary. Myspace is way to huge and popular to be shut down.

the one thing I hate about myspace is it's full of not very internet literate people. They don't realize at all that myspace.com is an internet property of the largest media corporation in the world and cost them a half billion dollars to aquire. MySpace isn't going anywhere. The dumbest rumors start whenever something goes wrong. The one bug they had that sent bulletins out if you just looked at one particular bulletin that someone exploited and the whole entire myspace community was freaking out OMG Tom we've all been hacked!!!! lol.
MySpace has servers in the same datacenter as many other companies like DreamHost. We were all down (

I'd be willing to bet that the people who run MySpace and the team assigned to the security part of it is working to stop any future exploits or hacks from going on. That or either they are just having problems because of the traffic/server.

Myspace is owned by Newscorp, One of the biggest media giants out there. Its not going down for quite a while. Especially since its the #6 most trafficed site on the internet.
