problems with converting dvd to ipod video

So I'm trying to figure out how to get dvd movies from dvd onto my ipod. I popped the matrix, and used Nero Recode and chose "recode main movie to nero digital". Everything seemed okay, so I used ImTOO ipod movie converter to make my movie the right size and format. I added it to my movie library and transferred it to my ipod. I try playing the movie.. the picture looks amazing but sound is horrible. I only hear little bleeps..

Any tips or easier methods/programs to get DVDs to my ipod would be greatly appreciated.

Apollo DVD to iPod works too.

Videora keeps going after it reaches 100%. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?
