I have decided on my next project. I am going to be opening up a Myspace website (.com not myspace account) deddicated to codes, backgrounds, templates....ect).
I just wanted to know if anyone who has a myspace account would like to share what their goals are for a site like this?
What would it take to make it a site you could enjoy and use whenever needed?
Basicly any suggestions / feature requests would be greatly appreciated.

Are you opening a clone or a how to?
Do something unique, they have hundreds of sites with backgrounds and codes. Do one with nothing but hacks or codes that really trick out your myspace.

My idea, not a lot of ads and popup. All the MySpace code sites I visit are littered with them, and it sucks.
I like contact boxes and real genuine codes that add something unique to a myspace page.
Make sure you put some anime themed stuff up!!! lol

Get some basic/minimal looking templates, or even a template that shrinks the size of a regular myspace to 2x smaller. That seems to be the hot layout around myspace.

I really do not think this site is a good idea. Unless you have some thing to set you apart. Type in "Myspace layouts" and billions of websites come up, all with Google Adwords plastered on them.

Do some so people can get DIV layouts, like mine.

If you want to make a business out of this, you're going to have to do your own research.

I'm hating the stupid "Pimp Myspace" names and stuff they offer. Most of the time it's horrendus layouts/horribly written codes.

And if you dare put any layout that glitters, that's game over.

Keep have to keep the average myspace user in mind. Myspace is like the return of geocities where everyone wants to find the most annoying animated images, sounds and crap on their page. It's sad but with 100 million registered accounts, there is plenty of traffic full of noobs to the web.

that is just another turnkey site, it will probobly be crap unless you have something unique. I am sorry to be so mean, but you can find hundreds of scripts around the internet about those crappy sites
its a saturated market so its not easy to make it NOT shitty.

The point is, unless you are out to make some grand statement and bring "quality" to the millions of myspace close, it doesn't matter. They actually like the crappy stuff. You would be surprised that some of those really crappy turnkey sites do better than really well designed and thought out resource sites with unique content. Part of it is because when they come to those crappy sites they just start clicking around trying to find what they want and eventually probably either accidently click on an ad or click on an ad to get out of your crappy site lol. Not saying it's a good way to do things but there is a reason there are thousands of myspace sites out there...and many making silly amounts of money.
Crappy turnkey site or nice unique well thought out site...either way it's a good market to get in. Only annoying part is dealing with traffic as it ads up very fast. Pays for itself though but never stops growing.
