So, I'm still a kid, but is this a good idea or what?

So me and a friend are planing to get an apartment or rent a house next year, and we were drinking the other night and decided, Hey, lets fill our apartment with playpen balls!
So we've been looking and I think we can buy black 4" playpen balls to fill 150 square feet for right about $250, so we can fill our game room for that, and each bed room would cost about that... That is for 2ft deep, so what do you guys think? Sound like a good or bad idea?
I think it soulds like a kick ass idea, but I wanna hear some pros and cons about it...
Also, what would a Landlord think about it?
i think its a horrible idea but thats just me?
its pointless
Sounds fun for a couple of minutes, but waste of time and effort. Not to mention being 19 is not exactly being a kid, but maybe having the state of mind of a kid? There really isn't any justification for it. shrug

It would be pretty hilarious at first, but then it would get annoying walking around the house or apartment. But it would be a unique idea, and anyone that comes over to your place will be suprised.

What would happen when you opened the door?

fill 1 room with a lot of balls -- it would suck to have 2ft of balls everywhere -- have like 6ft in 1 room -- say the bathroom...

Yeah let's goto your place, and trip over some balls and file a lawsuit or something. LMAO.
I'd be down.

Cut the door in hal just below the knob. That way you can keep the balls in and open and close the door...

That'd be your best bet.....
If you really want to, I mean it couldn't hurt, sounds like a good idea
Also, is it necessary to mention you were drinking?

Eh, what happens when you are carrying groceries or something heavy? I think you should just do the gameroom.

You would never be able to vacuum. You would spill salsa and chips or whatever and it would just get messier and messier.
Not to mention it's a dumb concept.

... oooor, you could nail a net on the inside fo the door to hold the balls in the room... and I think it's a great idea! I mean, how many goddamned people have playpen balls in their house?! Sure, you'd get pretty tired of it quick , but so what! No one will have ever seen anything like it! I'd love to see pictures if you seriously go through with it!

yeah...if your thinking about putting money down for an apartment...it would be wise to save money for your bills and not spend it on balls...
EatChex89

that's not such a smart idea...
after about a week you'd find so many problems with the whole scheme and you'd be killing yourself wondering why you wasted $250 on balls.

Plus, not to mention the fact that chicks don't dig a dude with a house full of playpen balls. For the love of God, think of the poon!

Don't waste $250.
Dave82

that is creative. however it would get so annoying very quickly
and imagine if you lost your keys for example.
if you limustli do this for whatever reason, maybe you can section off one area of ONE room to do this to. But dont.

Yeah, but can you imagine how fun that would be jumping around in those playpen balls when you are drunk? Well let me take that back, it would be fun [i646ad7630b]until someone throws up[/i646ad7630b].

Agreedd, seriously $250 would be enough for an entire month of food, pay a few bills, etc....
I like the idea now of hanging a net on the ceiling and having a ball ceiling ;)

Saw this the other day on SD, and thought, "Who in the world would buy 100 plastic balls for $10?"

Haha, great replies everyone!
So we decided that were going to do it to the game room only, probablly have a ping pong table in there, would make for fun games of ping pong...
We will put a net so the balls stay in...
the money isn't that big of a deal, because I never spend money on anything, and I've got enough saved up for what I need for college for the next few years... $125 for a room full of this will kick some major ass D
Oh yea, and this is a stupid idea... just wanted to be sure that people know I know it is a dumb idea, but I think it'll be fun still D
