On certain posts i hear this and it makes me wonder ... how do they do it, does the ipod have to not be opened and in store wrapped condition or do u just trade in with a fee needed for the new model.

Must be shrink wrapped and it can't be drastically old (5g -> 5.5 g or 1g nano -> 2g nano or gumstick shuffle -> babyshuffle are all okay) such as an older model iPod (4g regular, 1/2g mini, etc.).

If it's opened, you get a whopping 10% off your next iPod purchase instead.

if you have a warranty and it breaks wink they'll replace it fo free with the closest to it's capacity, and since the older ones are no longer in production, chances of getting a 30gb video are quite high wink

I wish my 60GB Photo iPod qualified for that.

Hey guys, i just read this thread, today i realized that the right earpeice goes on and off depending on how the ipod and the earphones are connected. its still under warranty, the headphones are only two weeks old. should i take it to apple store. if so does this sound like a replacement case if the headphones work? also i would need an application to move my videos and music off of my ipod. its a 5g any advice?

no..rumors has it that it'll be out oct. 31 or early nov.

u could trade in a brand new ipod(old verison) for the newer version with no problem. When I did it a few weeks ago, the guy told me they can't take anything back thats not purchase directly from apple but he made an expection with me.
