Putting Video's on iPod Video's

How would I go about getting a short video (from youtube lets say) and converting it to iPod format so I can play it on my iPod video?

Any recommendations to good video converters welcome, links as well )

And how do I dl a youtube video anyway?

I used www.keepvid.com and converted using Videora iPod Converter. Just search for that.
