I topped out at around 60-65wpm several years ago. Since then, I haven't been able to increase my typing speed, despite the enormous amount of time I spend on the computer per day.

Anyone have any suggestions for increasing speed (besides getting on AIM and chatting for hours on end?)

Wait so you poke the keyboard with your two pointer fingers and you can get 95 WPM? shock

yeah, i have typed this way since 5th grade. As I said, I use other fingers too so it is not really "chicken pecking" but it is my main fingers. I have tried typing the correct way, and have took many classes telling me and teaching me how to, but to no avail. I was quicker with less mistakes doing it the "wrong way"

This has nothing to do with how fast you can type, it is how fast you can read something and then type it. When i type i know what im going to type so i can type a lot faster than when taking one of these test. IMO these things are pointless.

Actually, 130WPM is quite attainable. If my keyboard were actually on a desk and I were sitting upright I'm sure I would score in the ~120WPM area and I've seen a few people at my school that can type faster than me, but not many.

All that typing in making websites and typing up roleplays when I ran an e-Fed (back in the ol' wrestling days when I was about 11) really got me used to typing at a young age and just countless hours at my computer have made me lightning fast.
