Sorry about ANOTHER ebay thread (these seem to pop up a lot lately)...but I sold this guy a TMX elmo and this is what he said after I shipped it to him.

"returning article do not want chinese english speaking elmo/ if you open outer panel it speakes in chinese"

I do not even know what to say back to this guy.. I bought it from Walmart and I know it does not speak Chinese. If you open up the flap, it says "elmo tickles, elmo ticklish in here, hahahaha". I'm guessing he got confused because he doesn't say it clearly?

What should I even say back to this guy?

Talk to paypal on the phone, or try to give the specifications available on Walmart's website for the product.

what would I say to paypal? I hope I don't end up getting screwed because I don't have the original receipt.

Just tell paypal the man is racist by discrimating against a chinese elmo or say you made no claim on the listing what language the elmo speaks in and he just assumed it spoke English. lol

Seriously, ask him to pronounce what the chinese elmo is saying or better yet tell him to call so you can listen to the chinese speaking elmo to prove he is not lying.

Good post.

Kidd makes a point too. He could have gotten ripped off elsewhere and is returning the black market elmo to you. You bought yours from walmart, so i think yours is fine. He apparently gets them off ebay, [bd024d0b5aa]so check his bid history and see if he got any others elmos recently[/bd024d0b5aa]. Then you can call him out on it and tell him that returning an elmo from a previous auction to you is fraud.

if you wanna check someone's bid history from the past 30 days, click this link

Make sure you check the box "[id024d0b5aa]Include completed listings (last 30 days)[/id024d0b5aa]"
Also check the "[id024d0b5aa]Even if not the high bidder[/id024d0b5aa]" because he could have gotten a second chance offer from some low-grade elmo seller.

That link is great too by the way.[/bd024d0b5aa] It is interesting to see what your friends bid on. For some reason, a lot of people do not know that you can view bid histories. It;s pretty funny actually. I caught a scammer once selling something "Authentic" and i checked the bid history only to find it was won 15 days earlier for $20.
