Now id love to see sony lose, but that just sounds stupid. People don't go out and drop $500 on a DVD player to watch porn.

People buying them now, are looking mainly at which system looks better, and what titles do I have availible to buy/rent.

I don't poke around avsforums much so I don't know which one looks better if any, but right now Blu-ray has the edge in the titles department.

Nielsen VideoScan shows Blu-Ray outselling HD-DVD by 21, but I think they include the games too

HD-DVD used to be the leader before the PS3 came. This is strictly for movies.

Pron won't be a factor IMO. There are sites selling downloadable pron for the PS3 if you really need your fix(i saw it on kotaku today)

well dvdempire releases their sales percentages every week and blu-ray is winning by a large margin. it is also shown on thedvdwars that blu-ray is winning but thedvdwars isn't that reliable because it is just the amazon sales ranking. i dont think that porn will matter at all. its not like sony is blocking it on the format. those rumors have been blown way out of proportion (like a lot of things regarding hte ps3). vivid has announced debbie does dallas (the new one) on both formats and blu-ray porn is already available in japan.

oh, and blu-ray has 61 movies coming out in the next 4 months, hd-dvd has 19. of those 19, only 6 are hd-dvd exclusive. you can have the jerk and nutty professor.
