What are some good Video iPod (80GB) cases that aren't too expensive? I was looking at the iPod Socks or some of the transparent hard cases but there are so many to choose from I thought I'd ask for personal recommendations.

I hate socks.
I know I'm a broken record about them, but Lajo still offers a great product for the price. (iSkin-type silicone skins)
i love lajo skins but they dont touch iskins x
but for the price lajo kicks ass

I like the Agent 18. It is clear and covers everything but the wheel, so it allows easy wheel movement. It does tend to get light scratches on it though, if that matters.. and it will run you about $30 at target or agent18.com.
haven't there been a ton of threads asking about ipod cases?

Actually they [icc3cb3b6e7]do[/icc3cb3b6e7]. They're the only brand that actually does equal, or surpass iSkin (certain models). When was the last time you bought one?

Agent 18. I love their products.
Oh and goto bestskinsever.com
You need soap/water solution to attach it to your iPod. Once it's on, leave it for a few days (instructions on FAQ page). You end up with a thin full body protector that will protect your iPod fully.

When I had my ipod I had a bestskinsever (I love these things) on it and a thin silicone skin on it. I was thinking of getting the speck clear case too but it seemed to make it too bulky. The ipod is nice and small so I figured I keep it that way.
I think the socks are nice too since you get to handle the ipod as it is, but only if you get a bestskins ever on it as well.

It may be overkill, but I have my iPod in a skin (Lajo) and then in a leather case. I posted a pic of it once here somewhere, and I can't imagine better protection. The only concern was overheating, and it doesn't seem to be an issue except when charging, and then I pull it out. ;)

Get the iSkin! I wasted $40 on mine, but it protects the hell out of it.

I use the iGlove. It's like the iSkin, although a lot cheaper. I haven't had any problems with it, either.

I made cases for my iPods out of some scrap leather and some clear plastic fabric I had left over from when I made a cover for my kitchen table. The top flap has velcro to hold it down, bottom part has a slit to allow access to the charging port. I made them on a sewing machine that I got for free off Craigslist. I'm going to try my hand at knitting cases for them next.

Yeah, it is cool. Although I would think the screen would be kinda greyed out when the backlight is on.
