Well I still have not figured out which kind of car to go with.
But I am looking for a car that has good HP and has to within my
price range 1$-22k$

I don't know much about cars, but you should be able to get a good one for $22,000. Does anybody know what makes are supposed to last longer without needing too many repairs, versus ones that die sooner?

Seriously, you dont want a civic. Civics = gas mileage = not fast. Get a civic to save on gas. Like someone said, get a real car. Mustang (or cobra if you can afford), Camaro, TA, and if you must go with an import, atleast make it a z

What do you need fast cars for? Or a car that can go from 0 - 100 MPH in 2 seconds? What's the purpose of that? To show off and then later get into an accident for racing someone or just by speeding?

A "real car" is a car that's safe. A car that will protect you in the case of an "accident." Yeah, look into gas mileage and stuff, but seriously...racing is stupid. You could get you or some innocent other person killed. I was with my dad driving on a main road and we saw these two cars going at least 90 MPH, it wasn't a fun site. We assumed they would later crash. They were swerving in and out of every lane and in between cars.

Someone that my mom works with...her son was speeding and got pulled over. He didn't crash, but he got his license taken away and now he has to look at people in the hospital who got into accidents for racing and speeding, and also has to look at dead people in the morgue who died from car racing and speeding. He's only 17.

Seriously...just think about what you could get yourselves into.

there are plenty of cars which are both fast and safe. it's up to the driver... if you are a shitty, unsafe driver, you will be one in whatever car you have.

i've had my share of tickets but they haven't been unreasonable. it's nice to have a fast car so you can open up on big, open roads, sneak into spots... even evade accidents. i'm confident that if my car wasn't a performance car (especially in the 'brakes' dept) i'd have been in an accident by now. but i've got a couple years of completely accident-free driving under my belt and i see no reason why that'll change, fast car or not.

Otherwise you'll be unhappy, or worse, keep throwing money into making a slow car less slow.
