I liked Genesis too. It was the first system I ever had. I never had a snes though, so it should keep me busy when I'm bored during the summer.

its not much more than an snes to get a dreamcast and with a couple cds burned you can emulate everything from 2600 to genesis

why buy an old dreamcast though? you can emulate Genesis an SNES on a PS2. NES also if you have a good modchip that supports PS1 games (i just use my old PS1, because i have a fliptop-cover ps2, not a hardwired chip)

Come on man. The PS2 homebrew scene sucks compared to the xbox (which is the same price or cheaper and also a lot easier to mod).
The dreamcast does OWN though. It was the OG for homebrew on consoles, but the xbox perfected it.

i've never tried xbox or dc homebrew, so i dunno. but i'm just saying the ps2 homebrew gets the job done. it works just about as well as popular pc emulators like snes9x. some slowdown in some games tho, but overall there's good compatibility and speed.
and i still can't play nes games on my ps2 since my mod doesn't support ps1-based games/code.
i'm ready for some next-gen homebrew.... (besides linux)
