ok this is too weird. I accidentally missed type gmail.com with gmail.cm and it went to gifts.freepay.com with a refferal address. Seriously WTF????
I don't know if its just me or not

Led to http//gifts.freepay.com/?r=XXXXXX
For me, where the X's are ...is a referral ID
Pretty sneaky, heh

I would guess someone bought the gmail.cm redirect. I can't imagine that's a cheap redirect to buy though.

A ref link seems like a poor use of such a valuable redirection.

It's someone based in Cambodia. That's really weird though, the only .CMurl==http://=http:///url domains I've ever seen go to agoga.com. There was a Digg article on the guy that owns Agoga about a week ago. He partnered with the Cambodian government to get the .CMurl==http://=http:///url domains.

Someone should ask doylnea if he can find the article

I read that too, Kevin Ham is his name. Also, it's actually Cameroon that the .CMurl==http://=http:///url domains belong to.

Very smart dude..
I hate reading articles like that though, because then I find out how easy it was and kick my own ass for not thinking of it (

Not always, especially when there are cheap or free redirects nowadays.
