C0ngas vs. Trading?

In your opinion, what is the best way to go about getting referrals? Think of it in reference to a relative noob like myself - I'm only participating in about 5 free sites.

With that in mind, what would you do? Trading does guarantee one green for your referrals. But then you've knocked another site off your potential list for starting it in other ways that might be more helpful (c0ngas, etc). Ie - I did a trade for someone in which I signed up for Freeminimacs. But now that site is pretty much stalled for me.

C0ngas from what I've observed can be great if you get in a quick moving one at the beginning. For instance I did one for FreeiPodShuffles and had my 3 refs in the week period I was at the top group of the c0nga (still stuck in processing, but that's another story roll ). But there are not many of these quick moving ones available. What about the "equal opportunity c0ngas"? Seems like it could be a really good concept, a different take on the original c0nga.

And yes I know, you can't depend on one method to get your referrals. You have to do everything you can. Believe me - I have lol. I just need some hard proof to show my skeptical friends, and the only site I've been able to complete so far is FiPShuffles, and we all know where that is p

they work ok, if you can get alot of people to it. If you wanna try one for freepsps i'll give u a link

I think trading is best, myself. penii work for the first person or two, but like any pyramid scheme, the further down you are the less likely it is to be useful.

i got the most from c0ngas i think...

The only time you should join a conga line is if the site is brand new and you are 2nd in line of the conga line, then you are almost gaurenteed to complete the site in a matter of hours or days (depending on conga site).

I personally think a combination of both. I think on larger items that need over 7 refs, a conga is a good way to go, but why not find someone on top of the conga, trade a site with them to sign up under them, and get placed on it too? I think with smaller items, it is better to trade......

Say you are working on notebooks which is 18 refs, usually a wait on a conga is going to be 3-5 weeks on a site with good traffic, so work on getting as many people to sign up under it off the conga, and when you get to the top of conga, you might get 2-3 refs on a good site. On a smaller item, say an ipod, I am sure you can get 5 people to sign up in less then 3-5 weeks, so joining a conga will not help you here, UNLESS! you can get on it in the first few people.

On a site that I did a conga for the psp, which I started it, in 36 hours 9 people got 5 refs each, and around 50 people are on it now....does it make sence to join it now, no, but if you were in the first 10 people to joing, yeah, it was worth it because it moved so fast.

trading is probably the best way to go, that way you have a guaranteed referral.

Guaranteed... if you don't end up getting scammed. C0ngas can fail to produce results, and trades can backfire. Either way, you're out a referral.

I just LOVE congas, they are so fun, and everyone is their all sitting on the conga waiting for something to happen, them BOOM! all of your referrals come right out of the conga like a giant explosion. Another thing I love about all congas, is when your on one everyone is like a big happy family, being on a conga just makes you feel so warm and fuzzy!
