Saw the Dr. Who thread, so What the heck. I just started watching season 7 on http//www.tv-links.co.uk/ and it's actually... A really good show. The term Geek and such are associated with it, but The show is quite good. I just started watching it, And I watch an episode or two a day. Anyone else? Thoughts?

I liked it in the 80s/90s. There was almost an entire year of teasers before it aired. "Best Of Both Worlds" is probably considered the best (2-parter) within it. The family stuff could detract from it, though. Wesley and kids in space was a little much.
As for Trek in general, it took a downward spiral from there. DS9 was never as good as it, and Voyager even less so. (ENTERPRISE is better forgotten altogether) Films jumped the shark too, and a new prequel film is not a step in the right direction, IMO.
I really think they should let it rest now, and bring it back in 2010 or so.

I love TNG. I was pleasantly surprised with voyager, but only TNG is TNG. No one could ever match Picard.

I much prefer Voyager to TNG - loved them both and loved DS9, too - but DS9 you really have to watch continuously or you get lost. I watched one episode of Enterprise and thought it was the worst thing I ever saw. I mean, come on, Scott Bakula as a captain?
Voyager is the best, though, imo )

I just don't know how we're supposed to believe they weren't tripping over themselves on that show. After TNG, every series cut the lighting budget a little bit more. D

TNG was the only Trek series I ever cared for.

The "Q" Episodes in TNG are really good. I've watched a few seasons now, and Those seem to be the most interesting. The season finale "All Good Things" was a winner to.

I watched it when it was on air, I have watched certain reruns but it seems dated now. I also liked Voyager and the cheesy factor of the original, lol. Didn't care for Enterprise or Deep Space Nine.

It would've been nice if they tied him into the "Squire Of Gothos" from the original series. I think they did in a book, but it would've been nice to see Bill Campbell reprise that role on TV. (They had him back as that Klingon he played, though)
