Do you guys think that there is stereotyping in women's sports?
I need some help with this topic, I have lots of ideas but I need 2 or 3 solid ones. If you have current illustrations or personal/historical examples, then please share them with me.

A common stereotype is that the women that play and coach in athletic sports are for the most part, lesbians.

We watched some video in my gender studies class on stereotypes in sports, I'll find my syllabus later and tell you what it was called.

Im not dissing on women. Its not like im saying they are not athletic. Im just saying that it is not that fun to watch, it's just my opinion.
When I see WNBA scores on the bottom of ESPN, its like 42- and I figure its the second quarter but its usually the end of the game.
Womens sports are not fun to watch....

Women's sports are like women's rights...A dream, not a reality.
Maybe if they played naked I would watch, but even then...boring.
Actually, take that back, I definitely would not watch if they were naked, them are some scary looking girls.
In all honesty, I find most girl sports boring except for volleyball. I go to most of our college vball games.

women sports are ok but definetely on a level below men's sports. I don't mind watching women's tennis every now and then. Womens soccer world cup also seemed interesting even though I havent watched one game yet. Brazilian striker Marta had a sick goal against the US womens team.
I believe women's sports that rely more on finesse are more watchable on tv then sports that rely on athletic ability and strength. I cant watch the WNBA since its in no comparison to the men's game. In the mens game everyhting is played above the rim while in the womens game everything is played well below the rim.
Women's tennis is somewhat watchable. Always helps when one of em is hot though. Sometimes the womens game is good but not when youve just watched two 'big serving' men play. After seeing two men spot 140+ mph serves on the corners its harder to appreciate the women's game when they serve below 120. Well except Venus Williams.

I would have to agree that that is the determining factor. Does the game rely on speed or strength? Count me out.
