It all started when I posted a offer in the Classifieds on Myspace wanting to see if anyone would trade a my camcorder for an mp3 player or Ipod. This person (Megan Dulrich) emailed me saying she would trade an Ipod. So we agreed to send the items today. I sent it today, and came home. I was then browsing through the Classifieds again when I saw it. The f-ing loser had once again posted saying she wanted to sell an Ipod or trade. Looking for more victims like me of course. And now that I have already sent the package and the USPS P.O. is closed for the weekend, I don't even know if I'll be able to recover the camera in time before it gets to her. Does anyone know if it's possible to stop the package? If so, how? I hadn't used the camera in a long time, but it was still worth a bit of money. I feel so bad and horrible right now knowing I've just been scammed.

You can stop the package. Just call the mailing service and tell them not to deliver the package you sent and tell them the address and have them send it back to you. That was pretty stupid of you to do with no proof whatsoever that they sent the iPod. Next time get proof somehow.

I know it was stupid. But she did send like three photos of it. She said she would give me the tracking # today as soon as she got it, but she hasn't been online all day.

Aww that sucks. But just b/c someone shows pictures of it doesn't mean they will actually send it.
If (and I hope you do) get your camcorder back, couldn't you just sell it on ebay and by an ipod off of ebay?

I almost got scammed by I R Minority. I thought he was over his scamming ways but I guess not. He wanted me to hand over my webcert number to him but I told him to at least go yellow first and he wouldn't. He kept cussing at me and saying I was trying to scam him.
Well, mail fraud is a serious crime, if they do end up scamming you, I would highly recomend that you persue criminal prosecution. You'd might even get it back.

That's what I plan to do if I can't get it back. I threatened them with that to.

Don't let them know exactly what you plan to do or they will more easily maneuver out of it. Be direct, but not about the exact course of action you plan to take.

Drive to her address, and steal it from her mailbox!! Okay, just kidding, that is illegal.
You can cancel it, just read the above posts, and basically, you learned your lesson.
That is interesting though, at first I thought you were talking about referrals and I was wondering...what site offers free camcorders? lol
Good Luck, man.
