What a bloody shame. My only hope is that the Mozilla/Firefox folks are up to the task of doing something about it.

Yes, me too. I LOVE FireFox. I've got 1.0.1 ). I should also mention that the creator of FireFox was 19 when he started it ). Pretty crazy, right? That's from an article in wired mag a while ago.

EatChex... what's Maxthon? I do indeed use IE occasionally, specifically to check bank statements and place secure orders and whatnot, and of course... to complete offers!

I just took home the February edition of PC World, and it's got some interesting articles on this. I may post about it later...

Safari is no different than firefox. They just took open source browser konquerer and made it theirs instead of Mozilla.
As for the topic, you've got nothing to worry about because Open source means there's teams working on the browser all the time Firefox will always have fast critical patches put out while IE will take forever because it can only be worked on by a few Microsoft employees.

My avatar explains my views.
Though, I do hope they fix the bugs.
Or I would have to go back to Opera! OMG!

Opera is a FABULOUS browser, except for the part that you've got to pay for it. I was reading an article today and it mentioned how AOL/NetScape will begin giving out a Beta Release of their new browser, based on FireFox, which was originally based on Netscape anyway...
