Well, like anything else, there are tasteful and... not so tasteful tattoos.
I don't mind them if they're fairly inconspicuous and have meaning to the person. Sometimes you see people with tattoos that are so gaudy and moronic, it's difficult to tell what's worse that they paid for it or that they have to walk around with it every day.
I'd never get one, though... too permanent. My tastes are far too fickle to commit on that level... except for marriage, anyway. Heh.

how much do they cost
FreeOffersNow
05-03-2005 21:29:36
It's hard to say. Depends on the artist, the design (complexity/colors/detail/time required), placement, and a host of other factors. Mine cost me $250, no color. I get the passage on the scroll free, though, when I go back...heh ) I could have gotten it cheaper but I went to one of the more reputable shops in my area. I'd recommend doing a bit of shop/artist research before making a decision. After all, it's permanent.

its permanent unless you're really rich and you can afford to do that laser surgery to take it off. with the technology they have its hard to tell you ever had one.

Going rate in a respectable shop is around 100-150 and hour. I pay around 40 an hour for mine.
I never have and never will regret mine, and I couldn't imagine my skin without them. Actually, I can't stand the way my skin looks when it isn't decorated with ink. Tattoo is one of the oldest forms of art.

tats are addicting though. mine have never gone by the hour. i show him what i want and he gives me a price... like i said, usually around $100. then again, they're not like sleeves or anything so they don't usually take more than an hour or an hour and a halfish.

If you don't know any facts about the subject being discussed, you should keep your mouth shut. Oh wait....your a tough guy behind your keyboard...I'm sure this is all stuff you'd say to a tattooed person if you saw them in the flesh. roll
Midnight Almost all shops charge by the hour, but they know by looking at a design and where it's going to be placed how long it will take them to do and therefore how much the price will be. )

The artist that I had ink me has a minimum charge of $50, and then he charges $100/hour after that. Mine took a bit over 2 hours, thus $250. He has a [be6e3fbf9cf]great[/be6e3fbf9cf] reputation in the business and that is worth more than saving a few bucks any day.

I don't mind tats on other people but I don't think I could ever get one myself.
I do have a navel ring though. But I've gained some weight since I got it done so my belly isn't flat like it used to be. No worries though, I don't wear belly shirts anyway. ;o)
