Great Customer Service at the apple store :) !!!

I went to the apple store today to get the ipod i received from OC exchanged cause it came messed up. I got the OC ipod for my girlfriend and we would charge it and get only like 5min of play time before the battery would be dead. So i took it up to the apple store today and without question they just took it back and gave us a new one it was wonderful. They also didn't even care that i didn't have a receipt. I tried showing them what i got from ecost but it didnt even matter they just took the old one and gave me a new one. I believe that they have some sort of way to track when each ipod was made so they can honer the warrant better and now my girlfriends warranty starts from today. I was extremely satisfied with Apple today.

It was truely a great experience i was almost in shock how great it was. I mean the reciept i had from ecost did say 2-16-05 but he didnt even look at that. D Very nice!

Apple Stores are amazing. I read an article in the NY Times Circuits section about how the Genius Bar (their in store tech support, A++) has to be reserved 3 hours in advance due to such popularity.

On a completely unrelated note...anyone with defective or damaged ipods please send them to me. 8)

All I know is that I'm gonna take my Ipod to the apple store and exchange for the 30gig photo ipod. And they betta not give me crap! lol

Hey does anyone know if they do the college discount in store? And if so what would I need?

And do I need anything when I take back the freeipod ipod to the store? I know i shouldn't have any problems, but leme know anyways.

College discount in store, yes. Not for other age groups (high school, etc.). Take your college ID and the eCost receipt.

Yeah they do honer the college discount in the store with a valid college id. And the Genius Bar is really sweet you sign in on a apple computer with your name and problem and they give you an estimated time for service. Its really cool.

I actually didnt say anything he just said we will trade it for a new one. Then he asked if i had a reciept i said no but i got this reciept from ecost that came with the delivery and he said he didnt even need it. He handed us a new ipod with a reciept from the apple store so if anything happens now i have a reciept to the apple store.

sweet, i think its time to get my shuffle returned when i get it, time for a 18hr mini for around $200 (4GB one i think has 18hrs) D

CALLED my local Apple Store today and spoke to a customer service representative who couldn't have been nicer. Said that I could bring my Mac Mini in and have them install bluetooth/wireless on the 25th of March or that I could exchange for the preinstalled one. Apple rules!

is it possible to trade in a new 20 gb ipod for cash? otherwise mines goin on ebay!

i doubt that without a reciept
