What % of people fail to complete their offer ....more...

If you sign up, and get 5 friends to sign up to get a free ipod, and most of these affiliates seem to pay them $20 for these sign ups that's only $120 but they payout a $250 ipod. So if 48% succeed they break even (minus the cost of their staff).

Is this right?

So what % of people actually succeed ? Or do you die-hards only talk to each other ;) ?

Yeah, they get large discounts. I'm guessing Gratis pays about $250 for a 20GB iPod. But still, far less people actually get their iPod then complete an offer. That's why trading is so great for Gratis, etc. You sign up and complete an offer and never look at their site again.

I saw in maximum pc 2 issues ago that Gratis has made $15 million since they started doing the free sites, and they've shipped 10,000 ipods, usually about 500 a week.

As of late 2004, the number Gratis gave me was 110 greenyellow ratio. Also, although you or I would get paid $20 for an offer, Gratis, having been in the business for much longer, gets paid significantly more (again, from Gratis themselves)
