Er, well, that's not what I'm talking about. Panspermia is a rather serious and plausible idea with a credible body of research. We know, for example, that shortly before the earliest evidence of one-celled organisms appeared on Earth, Mars was struck by a gigantic asteroid that knocked chunks of the planet into space. We also know that those chunks certainly could have struck the Earth. If Mars had life on it at the time, there's reason to believe organisms could have survived the trip.

So you believe that an asteroid could have went though the void of space for sometime without killing the living organism inside of it. Finally after a while (probably thousands of years at the earliest) flies through our atmosphere without disintegrating or burning up the life inside. Than crash lands on the earth breaking into smaller pieces with lots of debris everywhere from the impact still keeping the life alive and fertile. Than some how by sheer luck there are two microbes that can mate or asexually procreate. Than they evolve into higher species in succession without another meteor coming down like it did the first time, but this time instead of bringing life it destroys it. Into what we see today. Or................. That some species is doing what we are doing. Bring about life in a lab. Than spreading that life around the Galaxy. Hmmmmm........ Which one might be true?

Where did those aliens come from themselves? What evidence is there to support the claim? What processes did they use? Where are they? How did they get us here? It's not that hard using language to make something sound more simple or more complex that is is )

Not saying that I think exogenesis is true, just that... your theory sounds less simplistic than his does. It's probably better to say that the simplest and the most parsimonious theory with what we know is more likely to be correct.

Well, there's quite a lot to deal with here. Off the bat, your second post is an incorrect parsing of Occham's Razor. I don't mean to be pedantic, and what you've said is unfortunately repeated by people who ought to know better, or assume their audiences know what they mean. It's not the simplest, but rather the hypothesis that makes the least and most plausible assumptions that is preferable.

That said, I'm not going to lay out all of the information on panspermia here. After all, you seem adept at using the internet... why not look it up, yourself? I trust you meant to do that and weren't just trying to bury me with irrelevant or questions easily researched elsewhere. I have a very hard time believing -- given the seemingly infinite number of galaxies, solar systems, and planets in our universe -- that we would be the only tiny speck of dust in the whole thing to have life. Seems kinda arrogant when you think about it.

UFO's are bit more speculative, however I don't discount the notion that there could be far more intelligent beings than us out there. Given how far we've come with space technology in a relatively short span of time, it wouldn't be far fetched to think a race of beings that had, oh, a million years head start would have that capability.

As disturbing as ol' lemonparty may be, that was obviously a case of image redirection -- that's not the image that Chesyl had linked to in their sig. The link CG posted above is what's in his sig, and it's being redirected, probably because his sig image's domain owner thought it would be cute to redirect those requests to lemonparty. I've taken the liberty of removing his sig.

It's all good GBV. I was just pointing out that little fact about people saying they'll never believe it and then when faced the evidence still don't want too.

Kinda like, "If God created humans first...Explain Fossils!"

"God just put those there to test our faith!"

Now before anyone else flips, NO, I'm not bashing religion but this really was said to me by one of my friends who we were having a discussion about evolution VS. the bible.

I'm glad to see you have an open mind about it though and would probably believe if the proof came out GBV.
