Based on the reviews, I'm seriously considering eBaying my two 7800GT's in SLI and getting one of these 8800GTX's...

But the Geforce 8 series cards are DX10 compatible. The 7 series aren't. (

Shit. I read it wrong. I thought it said he was buying two 7800GT's instead of one of the 8800GTX's. P

My x850xt pe that use to be a x800 GTO2 is still pushing right through games like no other. When the prices drop to 200$ for a good DX10 card ill pick it up. My x850xt is really keeping steady price wise on ebay which im kinda surprised since it is now not even a last generation card but a last last generation card.

2 slots, but depending on your mobo configuration and other cards you might have, it might possibly block a 3rd slot. Lots of high-end vidcards take 2 slots, NVidia has been making 2-slot cards for years, since the 5xxx series.

It's funny. If I had a 7 series card, I think I'd be more bummed than I am with my 6200. The benefit of aiming low. ;)

The 440 is touchy when it came to certain games, though. My Cyberpower came with an MX4000, but with no shaders, I [if82b1cf88a]had[/if82b1cf88a] to upgrade to something, and the 6200 was just cheap enough. )

Hey. It was weird when I had the card. It was capable of playing Doom 3 at low quality. ^_^
