Do you have the original XP license key?

Say I don't have the xp license key. Where am I getting the version of windows xp to reinstall without the disks? Regardless of the key?

Well if he formats and doesn't have the install disc...O_o
However...if your friend has the install disc, you could just use your key.

You can't install it without a disc of some sort, so if you download a copy of XP, you'll have to burn it before you can install it.
Without buying it, you'll have to use someone else's. Without using an illegal copy, you'll have to buy it.

Buy a new copy or obtain one illegally (which of course I do not condone).

No this is only if you don't have a bootable cd-rom..... this method still requires the windows xp disc

Just use systeme restore and restore your computer back to factory software and settings. Not really a format but it will do the trick in most cases.

He would need the restore discs for that, he said he didn't have any. Unless he has an HP laptop with an intact restore partition, but he didn't mention it. Not all PC's & laptops come with a restore partition -- most don't, in fact.

	Is your firewall blocking it?
Also, why are you using Mozilla and not Firefox?
